WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU VISIT TREMORVAH COTTAGE (COVID-19 CARE PLAN)
We can reassure you that we will be following government guidelines and hospitality best practise for Self-catering accommodation, so you can confidently enjoy your stay at Tremorvah Cottage. It is essential for the safety of you our guests and our ourselves that you read the information below.
What we are doing.
Cleaning – we have always had high cleaning standards. Tremorvah Cottage holds a 4 star accreditation from Visit Britain. We are currently working towards the new AA Covid Confident accreditation for hospitality businesses. We (the owners) clean the cottage ourselves and we are now taking extra steps to ensure all areas are thoroughly sanitised and clean. We use Antiviral disinfectant for sanitising and work to a sanitising check list of all ‘high touch points’ in each room. We use an upholstery sanitising spray for the sofas and chairs and also provide clean laundered throws that you can use on the sofa if you prefer. Entry points to the cottage (gate & front door handles) and the keys are also sanitised as well as the patio chairs. All cutlery will be washed again on changeover day. Pillow and mattress protectors are laundered on each changeover.
We have removed all brochures and games and decorative bedroom cushions. All the information you need is on display and/or has been sent to you by email. Brochures for attractions can be requested and will be recycled after.
Check in, Check out – We will do this with social distancing in mind. Guests will be asked to telephone us on arrival. For regular guests we recommend self-check in. New guests can either self-check in or we can assist you by taking you to the cottage. We are happy to assist guests with luggage if needed and will leave it outside for you to bring in. Text us when you leave and put the key through the letterbox.
Contacting us – If you need us during your stay please telephone, WhatsApp or text. 07856 519087. If we have to visit the cottage during your stay for a maintenance issue we will wash our hands and sanitise before we enter. To maintain the required social distance we will visit when you are out or ask you to remain in another room.
No Walk-ins– we will only be accepting guests with booking.
Before Arrival – guests will be reminded not to travel if they are experiencing any of the Covid-19 symptoms, as they will need to isolate at home.
During your stay – in the event a guest has Covid-19 symptoms during their stay, they will be asked to return home as soon as possible to isolate. We have strict guidelines to follow for deep cleaning, laundry and no access for 72 hours before cleaning.
What our Guests need to do.
Before you arrive – If you or anyone in your party is experiencing any of the Covid-19 symptoms, please follow the government advice and DO NOT travel to us.
During your stay – If you or anyone in your party is experiencing any of the Covid-19 symptoms whilst staying we would ask you to remain in the cottage and contact us by text/telephone immediately. You will be asked to return home to self-isolate. It is important to contact us immediately so we can ensure the required no-access and deep cleaning guidelines are followed to protect us and incoming guests.
Washing hands – We politely remind our guests to wash their hands when returning to the cottage after being out.
Planning your visit – We remind guests to plan their stay by booking visits to attractions in advance. www.visitcornwall.com. Booking restaurants and pub meals is also recommended to avoid disappointment. Penzance town centre has some new street markings to help manage distancing for the community and tourists during this time.
Re-cycle – If travelling by car we request you recycle your plastic, paper and tins opposite Lidl, Sainsburys or Tesco. If this is not possible leave in the re-cycle bin next to the dustbin.
